For almost twenty years (it seems like yesterday, but the first examples are dated 1991) formed the icon of the supercoupé – super roadster of clear imprint Yankee: under the hood, a huge 8 and 8.4 liter V10, with anachronistic distribution to rods and rockers, but with a power of 600 HP. A personal aesthetic that is not possible, characterized by an incredibly long front hood and 2 seats placed practically close to the rear wheels.
There Dodge Viper, anti-Corvette par excellence, is the latest example of true muscle car, all pure power and few concessions to comfort. The car that made and makes millions of fans dream around the world, and which carries the genes of the great coupé of the 60s and 70s in its DNA, has contributed greatly to developing the sporty image of Dodge. Good now prepares to leave the scene. That’s right, the Viper will soon change hands. The supercar of the Chrysler group is one of the first victims Fiat to give new direction to the American brand.
The Viper, according to the current configuration, will be made still 500 copies until July 2010. Do not worry though because it is a “See you later” and not a “Goodbye”. Towards’summer of 2012, there muscle car Chrysler Group will return with a whole new model, which will be equipped with components from Fiat technology. According to some “rumors”, the Viper of the future will be made with components Maserati. According to other opinions, to contain costs, the engines will be of origin Alpha.
