Wimmer RST is a German trainer known for his high-flying preparations on vehicles of identical origin. What you may not know is that it is the official dealer of the KTM X-Bow, the only four-wheeler produced by the Austrian KTM. As they know the light sports car thoroughly, they are able to offer us a series of mechanical modifications that give it a proper spark. As icing on the cake, they can sell you the prepared car with a fixed price that includes the starting car.

KTM launched the X-Box GT4 last year, a bodied version intended for track racing.

The first thing Wimmer has done is to modify the power of the 2.0 TFSI engine of Audi origin that lives in the central-rear part of the KTM X-Bow. It has 300 hp as standard, which together with the sports car’s weight of only 790 kg make it enjoy prodigious performance. The trainer has increased his power up to a significant 375 hp, coupled with a maximum torque of 500 Nm. This gain has been made possible by electronic engine reprogramming and a new stainless steel exhaust system.

Thanks to these improvements, this sports car with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis is capable of do the 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.3 seconds, reaching 200 km / h in just 11.2 seconds. Figures worthy of supercars with an Italian name. Wimmer’s mods don’t end there. The preparer has designed an aggressive aerodynamic kit with carbon fiber components that modify – for the better – the car’s aerodynamic performance. It is not a machine made for posturing, the KTM X-Bow.

Special mention should be made of the huge rear spoiler or the aerodynamic lips of the front, which hardly add weight to the whole given the lightness of its construction. They have also installed the flat bottom of a racing X-Bow, as well as its rear diffuser. They have completed the cycle part with semi-slicks signed by Toyo, mounted on Taneisya forged wheels. The price of this complete car is 99,000 euros, turnkey at a Wimmer dealer. A good way to draw even more attention with an X-Bow.
