MINI launches a new version of MINI 5-door, a variant that, after the name of MINI Cooper S Carbon Edition, offers us a more performance perspective of the British utility vehicle in its 5-door variant. More power, a new aesthetic finish with lots of John Cooper Works, a complete set of equipment … no, this 5-door MINI doesn’t look bad at all.
The MINI Cooper S Carbon Edition features a JCW exhaust system with two available modes, Track and Sport.
Mechanically, this alternative has a new configuration for the electronic management of its propeller and a new exhaust system signed by John Cooper Works. With these changes, the 4-cylinder, 2-liter engine now reaches a power of 210 horses (208 hp) versus the original 192 hp.
Beyond this extra power we find a design that is duly seasoned by a body kit with John Cooper Works stamp, new nails John Cooper Works rims and a specific color combination in which the black bodywork is contrasted by matte gray stripes and red accents.
Showing its name this MINI Cooper S receives a front air intake and mirrors finished in carbon fiber.
Inside, the equipment is quite complete. We find sports seats, a steering wheel with the JCW stamp, sunroof and a multimedia equipment with an 8.8-inch screen accompanied by a Harman / Kardon sound system.
We are waiting impatiently for the details about its commercialization, about whether or not we will see it in our market. While we must remember that the MINI Cooper S 5-door has a starting price of 26,850 euros.
