The wild horse is already galloping uncontrollably across the United States and Europe. The trainers have already trapped several specimens in their nets and have drawn more power from their guts, especially the 5.0 V8 “Coyote” of the Mustang GT. On this occasion, the specialist Modern Muscle Design (MMD) has joined forces with Chip Foose – one of the legends of the American tuning scene – to create the MMD by Foose 2015 Mustang GT. Under a somewhat bland name hides the most powerful preparation to date on the Ford Mustang GT. How does 810 CV sound to your ears?

810 hp. A figure made possible by a gigantic compressor.

Not even a Shelby Mustang GT500 – when presented – will have as high a power level as this Mustang.

The 5.0 V8 “Coyote” engine in the Ford Mustang GT generates 435 hp as standard in the US Ford Mustang specification. Thanks to a 2.9 liter volumetric compressor manufactured by Bama Performance, the power increases to an impressive 810 hp. Almost double the power compared to the serial number. A Magnaflow Competition exhaust – backward catalysts, a “slip-on” – contributes in part to the power boost, as do electronic tinkering, but the life of the party is the compressor.

The power goes to a rear axle reinforced by The Driveshaft Shop, through a carbon fiber transmission shaft specially built for this preparation. The suspension Vogtland Sport Suspension It is also not standard, elegantly combining a lowered look with the firmness needed to support the 810 hp of muscle in this setup. Interestingly, at no time is reference to a reinforced transmission or brakes of greater caliber, necessary components in a car that is dangerously close to 1,000 hp.

Although it is an elegant preparation, it may be understated in some respects. Especially in the case of a show car.

Because deep down, it is a preparation focused on aesthetics in which the name that sells is Chip Foose. Chip Foose has collaborated with a huge number of brands, has prepared hundreds of vehicles aesthetically and many of his creations have ended up on the big screen, in almighty Hollywood. This Mustang debuts an aesthetic kit that distinguishes it from other Mustangs in a clear way, but which is subtle in its execution. It’s not garish preparation, and this can already be seen on its 20-inch Foose Design wheels, for example.

A new hood with a “Ram-Air” type air intake, air intakes in the wings or the occlusion of the rear windows give it a retro touch, but keep the modern air of the vehicle intact. A spoiler and custom paint complete the aesthetic circle. It will be shown to the public for the first time at the 2015 AmericanMuscle Mustang Show. The event brings together more than 3,000 Mustangs, the proceeds of which go to the Make-a-Wish foundation, which grants wishes to sick children.
